Lisa's students include USDF and USEF bronze, silver and gold medalists along with national champions and two advanced young riders. Lisa takes great pride in her students and their accomplishments; she feels riders benefit greatly from a strong support team.

Lisa's philosophy of training for herself carries over to her philosophy of training for the horse. "As a student of classical training, I feel training of the horse must come in stages following the German scale of progression. Showing and awards is only the result of a well-trained, happy confident horse and rider team. Horses in my training program are treated as top athletes with attention to diet, health and soundness, conditioning and endurance building."

Training extends beyond the arena as Lisa attends conventions and symposiums and educational seminars to keep up with what is going on in the world of dressage. She gives freely of her time and resources to promote the sport of dressage through demonstrations, sponsorships and serving on boards where needed.

Some of Lisa's awards include:

Lisa is a fourth-generation equestrian who grew up riding and competing, winning many national titles while showing as a youth. Born in Charleston S.C. and raised in Texas, Lisa has spent her life studying and showing horses. For the last 18 years her focus has remained on International Sport Horses. Traveling extensively through Europe, she currently trains with Johann Hinnemann and has had the opportunity to train with some of the best American and European trainers such as Harry Bolt, Riener Klimke, Conrad Schumacher, Ernst Hoyos, Uwe Steiner, Scott Hassler and others. She earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals in 1998 followed by her USDF Gold Medal in 2000.

Lisa has trained and shown many horses, from young green prospects to seven Grand Prix horses. She has competed successfully, having won multiple United States Dressage Federation (USDF), & United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Horse of the Year awards, in addition to regional championships (having qualified for USDF Regional Championships on over 30 horses).

Lisa has graduated from the USDF L Judging program with distinction, and has attended the USEF R dressage and sport horse judging program to further her education. She knows judging is not where her passion lies she focuses instead on training and teaching. She has also earned a USDF University Diploma in the study of dressage.

Matching riders with the right horse is a big part of her job! She travels to Europe and throughout the US every year selecting horses for clients. She also loves to take every opportunity to continue with her own training while she is there.
