Lisa Blackmon, Head Trainer
Lisa is a fourth generation equestrian who grew up riding and competing, winning many national titles while showing as a youth. Born in Charleston S.C. and raised in Texas, Lisa has spent her life studying and showing horses. For the last 18 years her focus has remained on International Sport Horses. Traveling extensively through Europe, she has had the opportunity to train with some of the best American and European trainers such as Harry Bolt, Riener Klimke, Conrad Schumacher, Ernst Hoyos, Uwe Steiner, Scott Hassler and others. She earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals in 1998 followed by her USDF Gold Medal in 2000.
Lisa has trained and shown many horses, from young green prospects to seven Grand Prix horses. She has competed successfully, having won multiple United States Dressage Federation (USDF) & United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Horse of the Year awards, in addition to regional championships (having qualified for USDF Regional Championships on over 30 horses).
Jessica Blackmon, Assistant Trainer
In 2007, Jessica's accomplishments include USDF Regional Prix St. George champion and USDF Regional Young Rider Freestyle Champion. She was also awarded Dallas Dressage Club high point winner. In 2006, Jessica earned her USDF Silver Medal and qualified for the North American Young Rider Championships where she was the lead rider for the Region 9 team.
Amber Clarkson, Assistant Trainer
Amber has earned her USDF Bronze Medal and is working towards her Silver on her 11 year old Trakehner mare that she has raised and trained from weaning, Feliz. In 2008 Feliz was the Dallas Dressage Club Training Level Open Champion for recognized shows and placed sixth in the nation in the USDF All-Breeds awards for Trakehners at Training Level. In 2011 Amber and Feliz showed at First and Second levels and earned qualifying scores for the Region 9 championships. In 2012 they were very successful in their first season at Third level. Most recently, Amber and Feliz competed at Third Level earning qualifying scores as well as Third Level Open Champion and ATA High Score Award.
Amber was trained in Hunter, Jumper, Equitation, Dressage and Eventing, providing her a sound foundation for all disciplines. Additionally, Amber is exceptionally well educated in stable management. Amber has been paramount in the starting and training of many Trakehner horses bred by Whitehorse Farms, many of which have gone on to do very well in the show ring. She has attends clinics with such riders as Gerhard Politz, Jane Savoie, Natalie Lamping and Heather Blitz.
Katelyn Kok, Assistant Trainer
Katelyn competed in FEI juniors and North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC). She was accepted into the Winter Intensive Training Program with Lendon Grey. Under Grey’s tutelage, Kok moved up to FEI young riders and competed at NAJYRC and Festival of Champions. The following year, Kok managed the program. To date Kok has earned twelve points at Prix St Georges, various regional championships, and has both her Bronze and Silver United States Dressage Federation (USDF) medals. Kately worked with Jurgen and Jennifer Hoffmann in Germany for nearly two years as their second rider and was able to ride young stallions, Grand Prix horses, sale horses, and everything in between.
